Amazon Florida Facility Closure To Impact 494 Workers

The company filed a federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice confirming the closure of its PBI3 facility in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

The layoffs are expected to begin in phases starting in early May and continue through July, according to the notice.

Amazon said the decision was part of a broader evaluation of its operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Affected employees will receive severance and transition support, including job placement assistance.
