Priyanka Chopra and Russell Crowe in sci-fi thriller Bluefly

The film follows a grieving UN translator who is drawn into a covert mission to recover a downed aircraft that officially does not exist. As a Special Operations team travels upriver through militia-controlled territory, they discover the closer they get to the aircraft, the more they realize they were never meant to bring it back.

Nimród Antal, known for Predators, will direct from a screenplay by David Frigerio, William Eubank, and Carlyle Eubank. Production is set to begin later this year on Australia's Gold Coast.

Producers include Michael Jefferson for Polite Society, David Frigerio for Broken Open Pictures, Deborah Glover for G2 Dispatch, Arianne Fraser and Delphine Perrier for Highland Film Group, and Vanessa Yao Guo. Executive producers are Lia Buman, Guy Davies, RuthAnne Frigerio, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Jason Kringstein, Katie Leary, Scott Levenson, and James Norbury.

Highland Film Group holds worldwide rights and will launch sales at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival market.

Crowe, who won an Oscar for Gladiator, was recently seen in Nuremberg and has several projects lined up, including Netflix's Unabomber, The Weight, Billion Dollar Spy, and Amazon MGM's Highlander reboot. Chopra Jonas recently starred in Prime Video's The Bluff and appeared in Heads of State alongside Idris Elba and John Cena. She is also set to headline SS Rajamouli's upcoming action-adventure epic Varanasi, scheduled for release in April 2027.
