Northeast Indian culture: Women in traditional dress perform a dance at a London festival.

The festival featured food stalls, live music performances, and handloom exhibitions representing each of the eight states of Northeast India. Organizers said the event aimed to introduce the region's diverse cultures to a wider audience in the UK.

Community groups from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura collaborated on the program. Traditional dances and craft demonstrations were held throughout the day.

Attendees included members of the diaspora as well as local residents. The festival also included panel discussions on preserving cultural heritage abroad and supporting artisans from the region.

Organizers plan to make the festival an annual event, with hopes of expanding its reach to other UK cities in future years.
