UAE Indians: Passport Fee Hikes and Service Shifts Hit July 1

Indian passport fees in the United Arab Emirates will increase by up to 75% starting July 1, with a 36-page adult booklet rising from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,500.

Alhind will take over all consular services through new ICAC centres, replacing the previous provider BLS. A service fee of Dh19 will be charged per application.

The changes affect Indian expats across the UAE, who must now use ICAC centres for passport renewals and other consular services.
