MMA Family Gathers for Park Day Event

The event, held at Riverside Park on Saturday, drew fighters, coaches, and fans from across the region. Organizers estimated attendance at more than 500 people.

Activities included grappling demonstrations, striking drills, and a youth tournament. Several local gyms set up booths to showcase their programs and recruit new members.

The gathering was organized by the nonprofit MMA Family Alliance, which aims to promote the sport as a positive outlet for communities. Volunteers provided free food and water throughout the day.

Attendees praised the event for its welcoming atmosphere. "It's great to see everyone come together like this," said one coach who asked not to be named. Organizers plan to make it an annual tradition.
