Rs 1,668 Crore investment approved for Ambedkar University’s ‘futuristic’ new campus in Dheerpur: What’s new for students?

The Delhi cabinet has approved a Rs 1,668 crore investment for the construction of a new campus for Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University in Dheerpur. The project aims to create a 'futuristic' campus with upgraded infrastructure and facilities for students.

The new campus will include academic blocks, hostels, a library, sports facilities, and other amenities designed to support a modern learning environment. The university plans to expand its capacity to accommodate more students and offer additional programs.

Officials said the campus will incorporate sustainable design elements, including energy-efficient buildings and green spaces. The project is expected to be completed in phases over the next few years.

The investment is part of the Delhi government's efforts to strengthen higher education infrastructure in the city. Ambedkar University, established in 2007, currently operates from multiple locations in Delhi.
