More than 3,000 people attended Chicagoland’s largest International Yoga Day celebration on Sunday at Naperville’s Frontier Park. The event, organized by the Indian American community, featured yoga sessions led by certified instructors, meditation workshops, and cultural performances.

Participants of all ages and backgrounds took part in the mass yoga session, which began at 7 a.m. and lasted for two hours. The gathering aimed to promote physical and mental well-being through the practice of yoga, as recognized by the United Nations.

The event also included free health screenings, vegetarian food stalls, and informational booths on holistic living. Organizers said the turnout exceeded expectations, reflecting growing interest in yoga across the Chicago area.

Key speakers included local community leaders and yoga advocates who emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life. The celebration concluded with a group meditation and a pledge to continue spreading the benefits of yoga.
