Vinciya Pandian named to International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame

Vinciya Pandian, a nurse researcher, has been named to the International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame. The honor recognizes her contributions to nursing research and evidence-based practice.

Pandian is an associate professor at the University of Rochester School of Nursing. Her research focuses on improving outcomes for patients with tracheostomies and those requiring mechanical ventilation.

The International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame is part of Sigma Theta Tau International, the honor society of nursing. Induction is based on sustained contributions to nursing research that have advanced the profession.

Pandian has published extensively and has been involved in multiple research projects aimed at enhancing patient safety and quality of care. She has also mentored numerous nursing students and early-career researchers.

The induction ceremony will take place during Sigma's 35th International Nursing Research Congress in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in July 2024.
