Indian Student From Telangana Killed in Highway Crash Near Chicago

A 25-year-old Indian student from Telangana was killed in a highway crash near Chicago, authorities said. The victim, whose name has not been released, was a graduate student at a local university.

The crash occurred on Interstate 90 near the city of Elgin, about 40 miles northwest of Chicago. Police said the student's vehicle collided with a truck under unclear circumstances.

The student was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was not injured and is cooperating with investigators. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
