Akhilesh Yadav Alleges BJP Rift Led to SIT Ram Temple Probe

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav has alleged that the decision to hand over the Ram Temple investigation to a Special Investigation Team (SIT) instead of central agencies was due to a rift within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Speaking to reporters, Yadav claimed that the BJP's internal conflicts prompted the shift to an SIT probe, implying a lack of trust in central investigative bodies. He did not provide specific evidence to support his assertion.

The Ram Temple case, which involves the disputed site in Ayodhya, has been a politically sensitive issue. The formation of an SIT to investigate the matter marks a departure from earlier probes handled by central agencies like the CBI.

Yadav's remarks come amid ongoing political tensions in Uttar Pradesh, where the Samajwadi Party and BJP are key rivals. The BJP has dismissed the allegations as baseless and politically motivated.
