Yale’s Ranjit Bindra elected to Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering

Ranjit Bindra, a professor at Yale University, has been elected to the Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering. The academy announced the election of Bindra and other new members.

Bindra is a faculty member in the Department of Therapeutic Radiology and the Department of Pathology at Yale School of Medicine. His research focuses on DNA repair and genome stability, particularly in relation to cancer.

The Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering is a nonprofit organization that advises the state on science and technology matters. Election to the academy recognizes significant contributions to scientific and engineering fields.

Bindra joins other Yale faculty members who are part of the academy. The new members will be inducted at a ceremony later this year.
