On July 2, 2026, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Officer Moralez discovered an unconscious teenager lying beside Interstate 37 in Texas. The teen had jumped from a moving vehicle.

Officer Moralez immediately provided lifesaving first aid and contacted emergency services. The teenager was transported to a hospital for treatment.

The Department of Homeland Security recognized Officer Moralez with its “Best of the Best” award for exceptional heroism in the line of duty.
