Who is Ravi Thanawala? Indian-origin executive named American Eagle CFO

American Eagle Outfitters has named Ravi Thanawala as its new chief financial officer, effective immediately. Thanawala, who is of Indian origin, succeeds Robert Madore, who is leaving the company after a transition period.

Thanawala joins American Eagle from PVH Corp., where he served as CFO of the Tommy Hilfiger global business. He previously held senior finance roles at VF Corporation and Procter & Gamble.

In his new role, Thanawala will oversee American Eagle's financial strategy, including accounting, treasury, tax, and investor relations. He will report to CEO Jay Schottenstein.

Thanawala holds a bachelor's degree in commerce from the University of Mumbai and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
