Bharat Bhavan, which opened in Irving and Frisco, Texas, is now the world's largest Indian vegetarian restaurant, according to its owners. The venue spans 19,317 square feet and can accommodate up to 1,000 diners at once.
The menu covers a wide range of traditional Indian cuisine, including both North and South Indian comfort food. The restaurant aims to serve the large Indian diaspora in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The Irving location is situated along a major highway, while the Frisco outlet is near the city's growing commercial district. Both sites feature modern interiors with traditional Indian motifs.
The owners said they invested heavily in the project to create a destination dining experience. They expect the restaurant to attract customers from across the region and beyond.
Bharat Bhavan joins a growing number of Indian vegetarian restaurants in North Texas, reflecting the area's expanding South Asian population.
