MAALA Onam 2026 announced for July 6

The event, organized by the Malayalee Association of Louisiana (MAALA), will take place at the association's community hall on July 6, 2026, starting at 1 p.m. local time.

Organizers said the celebration will feature traditional Kerala cultural performances, including Thiruvathirakali and folk dances, alongside a grand Onasadya feast prepared by volunteer members.

The announcement was made by MAALA's event coordinator, Santhosh, who confirmed the date and venue in a statement to members. Registration details and ticket prices are expected to be released closer to the event.

MAALA has hosted annual Onam gatherings for over a decade, drawing hundreds of families from across Louisiana and neighboring states. The 2026 edition aims to expand youth participation with dedicated games and a fashion show.

The association encourages early registration due to limited seating, with online forms to be made available on its official website and social media channels in the coming months.
