Hats Sports Day

The Houston Area Telugu Sangam (HATS) hosted its annual Sports Day event on Saturday at the Meyer Park sports complex in Houston, drawing more than 500 participants and spectators. The event featured cricket, volleyball, badminton, and track races for children and adults.

Organizers said the event aimed to promote health and community bonding among Telugu-speaking families in the region. Volunteers set up registration booths and refreshment stands, and local businesses sponsored trophies and medals for winners.

Winners were announced in each category, with prizes distributed during a closing ceremony. The event concluded with a potluck dinner where attendees shared traditional Indian dishes.
