The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) which is a subsidiary of the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation and operates the world class NOIDA metro became first metro rail service in North India to dedicate a station to the LGBTQ community. The NMRC had officially renamed its Sector 50 station as "Pride Station" in October 2022.

This news which should have become the global headlines was subdued & hidden partially due to Corona Pandemic & rest due to blatant hatred by western liberal media towards the Hindu Monk "Yogi Adityanath" who has recently been re-elected as the Chief Minister of the biggest Indian State of "Uttar Pradesh" in a landslide victory 2022.

In another novel gesture, the NMRC has also hired six transgender staff. While four of them are for ticketing, two belong to the housekeeping department. They are Mahi Gupta, Panya Pawar, Kajal Kashyap, Shanu, Pawan, and Kunal Mohar.

What is Pride Station?

Hinduism is the best religion for LGBTQ, Queers, Transgenders

Pride Station is the new name of Sector 50 station on the NMRC line which connects Noida and Greater Noida.

The station has been renamed to honour the LGBTQ community.

"This step has been taken by the NMRC for the inclusion and meaningful participation of the members of the transgender community. As per Census 2011, there are 2.5 million people from LGBTQ community in India, out of whom around 70,000 are staying in NCR. These numbers may have increased manifold in the present scenario.

Ritu Maheshwari, managing director of NMRC, said that the decision is aimed at inclusive development.

"With the Pride Station, NMRC feels extremely proud to have qualified members of the transgender community as part of its NMRC family," she said as quoted by India TV

Ruling Hindu BJP government & Yogi Adityanath gave pride to LGBTQ community

Hinduism is the best religion for LGBTQ, Queers, Transgenders

Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, who is often presumed and hated by Islamists & Liberal media as a “conservative, saffron-clad”, has recognised and empowered the rights of the LGBTQ community in every realm.

  • What can be seen as a major step towards the reformation of the LGBTQ community, Yogi Adityanath has dedicated an entire metro station that comes under Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) to the transgender community. The metro station will employ members of the transgender community. Moreover, to honour the pride community, the pillars of the station have been painted in the shades of the rainbow.

  • Yogi Aditynath has also announced establishing a first-ever University exclusively for transgender in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, the UP Government has also made amendments in the law that will provide members of the Transgender community with equal rights to inherit ancestral agricultural land.

Is it ignorance or a prejudiced mindset? To shatter the hate-filled minds of the so-called liberals of our country here is breaking down a few things that the BJP Government has done for the LGBTQ community in their 8 years of tenure.

– On 26th November 2019, the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Bill was passed by the Parliament. The bill grants protection to people of the transgender community from facing unjust discrimination in employment, education, housing, healthcare, and several other services.

– On 21st August 2020, the Central BJP Government constituted a National Council for Transgender Persons, which will be governed by The Union Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment (Chairperson) and the Union Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment(vice-chairperson). Under this legislation, the council will have mainly five functions to perform, as stated in the press release:

(a) to advise the Central Government on the formulation of policies, programmes, legislation and projects with respect to transgender persons;
