News by NRI Herald Australia 11 April 2022
UP Police becomes India's First State Police to launch verified twitter handle exclusive for NRIs (Non-Resident Indians) around the World especially hailing from India's fastest growing and biggest state of Uttar Pradesh.
India's State of Uttar Pradesh which is currently being lead by a Popular Leader "Yogi Adityanath" has taken steps unique and innovative in a way that they are currently being hailed as the benchmark in the field of Law and Order across India.
It will not be a misnomer to say that UP Police under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has Transformed significantly and have become one of the Top Performing Police Forces in the whole country as big as 28 states and 9 Union Territories.
UP Police actually launched a Verified twitter handle for NRIs hailing from UP. The Date Stamp of the Handle actually says 2018 which is after Yogi Adityanath took oath in 2017 as Chief Minister for the first term.
In one of the Tweet by UP Police NRI twitter handle says
uNRIvalled service, even for our citizens overseas! Even while you are abroad, we’ve got your back.
These kind of steps gives a sense of safety, surety & attachment to the NRIs living abroad but still have families living in India. These kind of initiatives also demonstrates the global approach which is very unique to find among Indian Police Forces and the ambition of becoming a world class Police Force which was non-existent during the Pre-Yogi regimes. Yogi Adityanath in various interviews have mentioned on record that "he want's to see UP as $1 Trillion Economy" and a world class Economy requires a Police Force with a world class mindset.
NRIs living in Australia have hailed this decision and have taken on social media to express their proud feelings.
Australia's renowned Doctor "Dr Yadu Singh" who also hails from UP tweeted:
@UPPolNRI handle is exclusively for the issues of NRIs from Uttar Pradesh. It’s an outcome of a smart & visionary thinking by @Uppolice/@dgpup under @myogiadityanath Govt. There are plenty of NRIs from UP all over the world. It’s great to know UP cares for UP NRIs. Thank you!, Dr Yadu Said
Editor-In-Chief of Australia's renowned news portal The Australia Today "Jitarth Jai Bharadwaj", who also hails from UP tweeted:
What a pleasure to see my state of @Uppolice having a dedicated service to help- support #NRI issues via @UPPolNRI It’s personal because my father was a UP Police Officer. Jitarth Said
While talking to some of the NRI Herald some of the NRIs living in Australia requested to organise the social media spaces where senior officers of UP police could address NRIs directly and share their journey.
One of the NRI resident living in Sydney while talking to NRO Herald said:
"It is an absolutely unique and innovative initiative and other state all across India must follow . We NRIs are equally important for the India's global ambitions. I request the senior police officers of UP Police including the retirees to please organise media spaces whereby NRIs could discuss their journey and get motivated to take entire India ahead in the future."
