Sydney Opera House "Saffronised" on the centenary birth celebrations of Pramukh Swami Maharaj.

On 23rd April (Saturday) 1000s of devotees of Guru Pramukh Swami Maharaj gathered at Sydney's iconic Opera House and filled the air with colours and spirituality

Pramukh Swami Maharaj was the guru and Pramukh, or president, of the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS), a major branch of the Swaminarayan Sampradaya, a Hindu denomination.

1000s of devotees gathered at the iconic Sydney Opera house yesterday with splendid colors and musical instruments to mark the celebrations attracting reactions from powerful personalities across Australia.

One of the Australian Member of Parliament and NSW Minister for Corrections, Member for Parramatta tweeted

"It's a privilege to be part of the 100th birth anniversary celebrations of Pramukh Swami Maharaj with the BAPS Swaminarayan community at the iconic Sydney Opera House, meticulously organised by BAPS Sydney #PSM100#PSM100atSOH#PramukhSwami"

Lord Mayor of Paramatta Donna Davis wrote on her FB post

"What a spectacle!! The curated rainbow colours lining the steps of the Sydney Opera House as BAPS Swaminaryayan Sanstha held their Centennial Celebration of Pramukh Swami Maharaj"
She further says "I proudly represented our City of Parramatta along with Deputy Lord Mayor Cr Sameer Pandey and Councillor Paul Noack and enjoyed the tremendous celebration. To finish the procession along Circular Quay and cultural display - fireworks on Sydney Harbour! "

Councillor Nathan Hagarty of Liverpool City wrote in his Facebook post:

Joining thousands of BAPS Sydney devotees at the Sydney Opera House for the centenary birth celebration of Pramukh Swami Maharaj. A fitting tribute for a man whose message of peace and harmony has inspired millions around the world.

One of the twitter user "Mili Patel" from Sydney shared the pictures of this beautiful event and tweeted:
