Greens Senator Mehreen Faruqi was born in Lahore, Pakistan which was recently in news for atrocities on religious minorities. Incidents of destroying Hindu temples and kidnapping underage Sikh, Christian, and Hindu girls occur on a regular basis in Pakistan.
As per the latest report published by renowned Aussie news portal The Australia today Australian Greens Senator Mehreen Faruqi made a ‘disgusting statement‘ in the Federal Senate on the pretext of criticising the Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s ‘good friendship’ with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.
The Pakistan-born Senator Faruqi first ranted about PM Morrison’s cordial working relationship with the then US President Donald Trump and then called Indian PM Modi a far-right leader.
Ignoring all the evidence to the contrary Ms. Faruqi called a democratically elected Indian government who got above 450 million votes last elections, an authoritarian administration on the basis of hearsay and unsubstantiated allegations.
While talking to The Australia Today, academic and yoga practitioner Sarah Gates said that, Greens have been leading a nefarious campaign to silence Hindus who are trying to raise their voice against persecution.
“Greens party and its Mehreen Faruqi like leaders are fuelling hatred towards people who try to raise voice against persecution of Hindus in Kashmir, Pakistan, Bangladesh and anywhere else in the world.”
Gates also debunked the lie peddled by the Pakistani-origin senator about the attack on four Sikh men.
“What happened in Sydney has no place in Australian society however Senator Mehreen Faruqi purposely chose to tell the half-truth.”
While Ms Faruqi was busy indulging in displaying her alleged hatred for the Australian Hindu community under the guise of targeting PM Modi and conveniently avoiding blatant human right abuses in the country of her origin, Islamist mob killed a Buddhist Sri Lankan manager 'Priyantha Diyawadana' in Pakistan accusing him of blasphemy while he was working for a company that made T20 gears for Pak cricket team.
One of the pakistan based news portal Baltistan Times tweeted yesterday (discretion advised to our readers as visuals can be disturbing)
In the video, the irate mob can be heard chanting "Nara e Taqbeer" and "Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah". Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah essentially means "Here I am at your service, O Messenger of Allah". Other slogans that could be heard as the fanatics burnt the man to death were 'gustakh-e-nabi ki ek hi saza, sar tan se juda sar tan se juda'.
When a Sri Lankan man was being burnt alive by this mob, many radicals could be seen taking a selfie.
One of the twitter user shared another disturbing video which said: (Warning Graphic Content)
Priyantha Diyawadana, a Sri Lankan Buddhist, was accused of blasphemy and brutally murdered by #Islamists in Sialkot, #Pakistan, yesterday. We urge @POTUS & @VPto take urgent and tangible steps to protect religious minorities in Pakistan.
Taha Siddiqui, one of the New york times journalist also reported from his verified twitter account:
Sri Lankan non Muslim man beaten to death & burnt alive in Pakistan over #blasphemy allegations. He worked for a textile factory &was accused of blasphemy by factory workers who reportedly identify with #TLP, the blasphemy brigade backed by #PakistanArmy
PM of pakistan Imran Khan tweeted yesterday in response of this incident which he has several times during similar incidents in the past:
but, Pakistan's judicial history tells a different story. Their had been many incidents in the past where minority Hindu, sikh & christian community members have been raped, lynched and convicted on the false charges of Blasphemy.
