Opinion Series - Published by NRI Herald Australia 5th January 2022

Islamic Jihad is a term which every one of you must be aware of comes from an Arabic word جهاد which literally means "striving" or "struggling" considering Islamic jihadis have killed millions of people in the name of 'Jannat' (paradise) & 72 virgins & still "struggling" for the last 1000 years shows that the very word "jihad" has lived up to its meaning quite well!
Well!Well! We are not going to focus our attention on Islamic Jihad in this series. NRI herald is launching this series particularly in the field of new form of terror which is emerging around the world called as "Khalistani Jihad". NRI Herald will publish multiple articles for the next 30-60 days with facts and figures along with solutions around this new menace of "Khalistan" terrorist movement.
Punjab - The ancient land of Hindus
The land of 5 rivers which we today known as Punjab was was originally called Sapta Sindhu, the Vedic land of the seven rivers flowing into the sea. The Sanskrit name for the region, as mentioned in the Ramayana and Mahabharata for example, was Panchanada which means "Land of the Five Rivers", and was translated to Persian as Punjab after the Muslim terrorists attacked. This land has always been "in-the-way" of foreign invaders. he name Punjab was given to the region by the Central Asian Turkic conquerors of India, and popularised by the Turco-Mongol Mughals
Punjab is also the land where Hindu sage Valmiki , Mata Sita and her sons Lava and Kusa were living , present day Lahore and Kasur cities which are in Islamic state of Pakistan now, were named after 'Lava' and 'Kusa' . This is Hindu community's grandeur that none of them make any objection when Sikh calls Punjab the land of 'Sikh Gurus' with no mention of ancient Hindu heritage.
Guru Nanak Ji

Guru Nanak's parents, including father Kalyan Chand Das Bedi (commonly shortened to Mehta Kalu) and mother Mata Tripta, were both Hindu Khatris and employed as merchants. His father, in particular, was the local patwari (accountant) for crop revenue in the village of Talwandi.
Sikhism Vs Hinduism.
Sikhism was heavily influenced by the Hinduism's Bhakti movement. The Bhakti movement was a devotional transformation of medieval Hindu society, wherein Vedic rituals or alternatively ascetic monk-like lifestyle for moksha gave way to individualistic loving relationship with god. The Guru Granth Sahib, the scripture of the Sikhs, contains the hymns of the Sikh gurus, fourteen Hindu bhagats, and one Muslim bhagat. Disciples of Nanak called themselves Sikhs; derived from the Sanskrit word "sishya", meaning a learner or a person who takes spiritual lessons from a teacher. The public called them Nanak Panthis or Sikhs.
There are still many families in Punjab whereby half of the family practice Sikhism and other half practice Hinduism because of which majority population of Punjab are Sikhs. From the time of Indian freedom struggle from Islamic terrorists (8th-15th Century) & British colonizers (16th-19th Century) till date Hindu community's acceptance, kind heart and inclusivity has proved time and again that Sikhs are the sons of same motherland and both communities are sister communities same Like Buddhists and Jains and that’s completely true.
Sikhs are settled in all the Indian states without any bias because all Sikhs Gurus were technically Hindus before they created a separate religion like Buddhism & Jainism. Sikh Gurus went all over India to preach their ideology, knowledge and kept sacrificing themself against the Muslim rulers to awaken Indians.
It won't be a misrepresentation to think that had their been no Hindu support or preexisted ancient platform of knowledge during 15th Century their would not have been any Sikhism in the present day world which we know of.
Sikhs demanded & Hindus Obliged
Sikhs have witnessed the grandeur of Hindus kind heart and inclusiveness at various occasions. Demands whichever Sikhs made, however un-justifiable have always been accepted by Indian government and above all the Hindus without any objections & prejudice for example, before 1962 the undivided "Indian Punjab" was almost three time bigger than the present day Punjab and majority population was Hindu during that time. But Sikhs demanded separate state on the basis of "Punjabi Language" which accepted by Indian Govt and none of the Hindus made any objection even though in the state where Hindus were in majority suddenly became a minority with a stroke of a pen.
There is not a single country in whole wide world other than India where 2% of community enjoyed nation's top positions , that is only because love and humanity of Majority Hindu community towards minority Sikh community and Hindus are still nursing Sikhs as their own. That's why being only 2% of India's population, Sikhs community is living all across India without any bias so much so forth that India's ex PM Manmohan Singh, Indian Army Chief, Chief of Naval staff and Air chief Marshal had/has been a 'Sikh'.
On the other hand as per recorded facts same Sikh community along with Hindu community which chose to live in Pakistan after partition has already been ethnically cleansed with less than 0.25% hindus left. In one of the recent incidents the daughter of Sikh Granthi of main Sikh temple in Nankana Sahib was abducted by local islamists and forcefully converted to Islam and none of the so called brave "Khalsa" raised its voice against this blatant genocide.
India on the other hand came to the rescue of all religiously persecuted minorities of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Not only Hindus, Sikhs or Buddhists but Christians are welcomed in India to get the citizenship without any quota as per recently passed Citizen Amendment Act.
WHAT IS KHALISTAN?

"The Khalistan movement" is a Sikh separatist movement seeking to create a homeland for Sikhs by establishing a sovereign state, called Khālistān ('Land of the Khalsa'), in the Punjab region. The proposed state would consist of land that currently forms Punjab, India and Punjab, Pakistan.
The call for a separate Sikh state began in the wake of the fall of the British Empire. In 1940, the first explicit call for Khalistan was made in a pamphlet titled "Khalistan". With financial and political support of some of the factions in Sikh diaspora who supported terrorism and militancy in India, the movement flourished in the Indian state of Punjab – which has a Sikh-majority population – continuing through the 1970s and 1980s, and reaching its zenith in the late 1980s. In the 1990s, the insurgency petered out and the movement to make Khalistan a separate country lost its pace and the very idea was shrugged away by Indian Sikh community itself.
NO-ONE TALKS ABOUT THE HINDU-GENOCIDE ! BUT WE WILL!

around 8000 Sikhs were killed majorly by police and paramilitary forces due to their involvement in militancy which the world knows but the world catches Amnesia to the fact that almost 5 times the Hindus were also massacred by Sikh separatists during militancy, As per one of the report published by Business Standard in 2014 almost 35,000 Hindus were massacred during the militancy in Punjab.

One such incident was reported by LA times in 1989 in which sikh separatist terrorists killed 19 innocent students at the The Thapar College in cold blood. The LA times further quoted in 1989:
Sikh extremists have killed at least 1,544 people this year in their bid to carve out a separate homeland they want to call Khalistan, or “Land of the Pure.”
NUMBERS DON'T LIE, TERRORISTS DOES!
As per the famous data portal "Our World in Data" over the previous decade the average number of annual deaths was 21,000. However, there can be significant year-to-year variability. Over this decade the global death toll ranged from its lowest of 7,827 in 2010 to the highest year of 44,490 in 2014. i.e in last 47 years 9.8 million people have been killed in the name of separatism & religious hatred which is equivalent to 40% of present day Australian population.
SOUTH ASIA IS SUFFERING DUE TO TERRORISM
In this chart we see the number of deaths from terrorism by region in 2017. Of the 26,445 global deaths from terrorism included in the Global Terrorism Database, 95% occurred in the Middle East, Africa or South Asia. Less than 2% of deaths were in Europe, the Americas and Oceania combined.

Nowadays majority of Sikhs in India are completely against the idea of Khalistan but their are always some Black-Sheeps. Indian Sikhs know that Khalistan is a failed and a dangerous idea because even though Hindu community is very tolerant still there is limit of their tolerance and they are also not 5 or 10% , they account 40% of Punjab population .
This is surprising and hilarious at the same time that the Sikhs who support the idea of Khalistan because being 2% population in a democratic country enjoying all democratic favour, unable to live peacefully with 80%majority and then expecting that the 40% Hindus population in Punjab can live under their dictatorship that too when Hindu community which sacrificed themself in nursing Sikh ideology. For example, all Sikh Gurus , Panj Pyare , Bahi Mati Dass , Bahi Sati Dass, Bahi Diyala ji ,Banda Bahadur Madho Dass Veragi , Pandit Ajay Bhardwaj (list is countless) and even the world most expensive land deal is on the name of Hindu Pandit Diwan Toder Mull who bought the land from Mugals to cremates the Guru Gobind Singh’s two younger sons.
