The President of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee Jathedar Daduwal also announced to provide support of Rs 10 lakh for the reconstruction of the Gurdwara Sahib at Karte Parwan.


A world-renowned Sikh Pracharak has urged the Indian government to send a delegation to Kabul so that they can perform the repair and renovation work of Gurdwara Sahib Karte Parwan which was damaged under an attack by Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP).


Jathedar Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal said that if the Government of India makes arrangements, they can send a delegation to Kabul to get the “Kar Sewa” of Gurdwara Sahib Karte Parwan and talk to the Sikhs living there.


He further said that the delegation can also get information about the situation with the recent earthquake in Afghanistan.


While speaking to the media, the President of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee Jathedar Daduwal also announced to provide support of Rs 10 lakh for the reconstruction of the Gurdwara Sahib at Karte Parwan.

"The attack on Gurdwara Sahib was very unfortunate, he said adding that the reality of this attack should be exposed to the world. It indicates another conspiracy that should be exposed to the world as to who are the people who attacked Gurdwara Sahib and got it done,” He added as per media report

He also lauded the Indian government for issuing e-visas to Hindus and Sikhs on an immediate basis.


Urging the Indian government to ensure the safety of Hindus and Sikhs living there in consultation with the Taliban government, Daduwal also expressed grief over the loss of at least 1000 lives and many injuries in the tragic earthquake that hit Afghanistan on June 22.

India grants visas to 111 Afghan Sikhs & Hindus

Following the attack on Karte Parwan Gurdwara in Kabul on Saturday that resulted in the death of two persons, India has decided to grant e-visas to over 100 Sikhs and Hindus in Afghanistan on priority.


As per Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) sources, the decision was taken late last night. The move came immediately after a terror attack on the last remaining Gurdwara Dasmesh Pita Sahib, Karta-E-Parwan near Kabul in Afghanistan on Saturday morning, killing a Sikh, a security guard there and some others.


The Sikh place of worship suffered 80 per cent damage and the attack left the Afghan minority Sikhs and Hindus calling for immediate support in this dire situation.


Meanwhile, Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) on Sunday claimed the responsibility for the Karte Parwan Gurdwara attack in Kabul.


ISKP released a statement claiming responsibility for the attack. According to ISKP, 'Abu Mohammed al Tajiki' carried out the attack which lasted for three hours.The group claimed that besides submachine guns and hand grenades, four IEDs and a car bomb were also used in the attack.


Hindu & Sikh Visa receivers said:

"Last night, we received e-visas from the Government of India. Our applications were pending for a long time. E-visas of three members from our family are pending and we are expecting the same by Thursday. We will leave for India only if we receive visas for all members of our family as we do not want to leave behind anyone. We will not leave if visas are not given for all."- As per TOI report.
